I was trying on timepieces at the omega boutiques, and some bracelets pull out arm hairs more than i expected. What is your experience with these bracelets?

I have a few, the 1171 that came on my Speedy is one- hence that watch is on an Uncle Seiko now

Just tough it out for a day or two and there won't be hairs left to pull out. All will be fine after that.

I'm not particularly hairy so I don't have any bracelets that pull out arm hairs. If it's continuous for you you'll have to go to straps.

During my rugby playing days in the front row the second row would routinely yank a handful of pubes out every time he took his bind inside my shorts at scrum time. (If you have never played then trust me this has no sexual connotations!).

Anyway my advice... grit your teeth and be a big boy/girl :):p

There has been an interesting scientific study showing a high correlation between circulating free-testosterone levels, and the number of hairs that get extracted from the arm of a 7912 wearer. This makes sense, because it’s related to secondary sex characteristics, of which body hair is one.

As noted by @Gav1967: grin and bear it, because if no arm hairs are coming out, you have bigger worries ahead...

    My personal experience:
1976 Speedmaster 1171: the worst - feels cheap, poor clasp, legendary hair puller.
2019 Globemaster : heavy, sharp edges, awkward clasp.
2017 SMPc: best and most comfortable modern Omega bracelet by far. Some like the styling, some hate it.
Vintage Omega beads of rice No. 12/1037: Legendary. Light weight, classic styling, incredibly comfortable - almost mesh like and wears like a leather strap. IMHO, the hands down winner.

What did you try on? Other than possibly the Deville Prestige, I haven't experienced any hair pulling issues with any of the modern Omega bracelets.

Shaving is the solution, but, if you don't want to go bald watch out ( no pun intended ) for any and all of the expandable bracelets...
    Omega 1506, 1039, 1035, 7912, etc
Rolex rivetted expanding link Oyster bracelets

I have never had any issues with my 1171 and very hairy wrists. I have tried on Spidel flex type bracelets and those are definite arm hair yankers. It baffles me that they were so popular.

Funny, I wonder if different iterations of the same bracelet had different hair pulling properties. Mine is the trapezoid logo version from the 70s.

Same for mine- gen1 with the folded links.
I also wear mine loosely which may attribute to the sliding around on the wrist- but it looks like yours is fairly loose too.

I own a bracelet, and I absolutely love it and I'm not gonna change it soon. My wife gave me this matching bracelet (https://matchinggear.com/bracelets/) for our anniversary. It doesn't scratch and thanks God, my hand hair is intact, lol. It depends on the braid. I have a watch from my father, and its bracelet is very annoying. The dirt goes inside the braid, it scratches and pulls out hair. I keep it because its from my father and its vintage, but I cannot wear it at all. The only thing you can do is to go and buy another one. Don't see what else you can do about this.

    Just recently picked up a vintage flat link 1175 from 1971. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh . . . comfortable. :)

I have Werewolf arms. Most bracelets are fine but by far the standout worst I have is a 1479 with my 1992 Speedmaster. I replaced it with a leather strap as it collected a so many hairs, it resembled a carpet!
