My 1953 Constellation 2782 looks to become a gift for my son-in-law's father's 70th birthday. I have it on a strap now, but if he'd prefer a bracelet can I get a recommendation? Thanks in advance, the Connie is all stainless steel, seller's scans.

It's a strap watch, TBH, but #11 endlnks on a 5-link BoR bracelet will be a reasonable fit in my experience.

I actually love these on ref 1035 flat link bracelets with #4 endlinks now ever since @cristos71 started posting his, it looks so perfect on this shape of Constellation.

Bloody expensive but looking cool isn’t cheap.

IIRC you need to file them down a little because many of the constellations have slightly narrow lugs. At least that’s what I found.

You're telling me! My oldest son got married last Saturday and over the course of the past year I picked these up as a wedding present.
He wore the auto at his wedding and he did look cool!

Yes a marriage made in heaven on a flatlink for sure, although to be period correct I'll generally be using a 7077 or 7912 bracelet with a 1950s Connie. However a 1035 does wear just as well with the only real differences being the clasp design and the much more affordable price.

I’ve never had to file down #4s to fit my Connies tbh. Tested all 50s references, >10 pairs of #4s, never an issue. Have you ever experienced that @cristos71 ?

No, me neither.

Thanks for all the informative responses! I've only had it on strap and would not change it out unless the new owner really
prefers a bracelet.

I might be thinking of different endlinks. I will check when I get home.

edit: I may be thinking of 630 endlinks?

Indeed they don’t fit as well as #4s on 1950s Constellations (and the Seamaster references I’ve tried).

Decision made, deBeers leather strap. Thanks again for the info on bracelets for early Connies!
