42 mm Planet Ocean Bracelet Recommendations?

Hello everyone,

I've searched the forum, but can't find what I'm looking for, so apologies if this has been answered somewhere. I recently bought a 2nd hand Planet Ocean reference 2909.50. This is the cal 2500, 42 mm watch with orange numerals and orange bezel, and originally supplied on a strap, not the bracelet.

I wouldn't mind having a bracelet for the watch, but I am spoiled by the bracelet that came on my SM300 Heritage (the lollipop seconds hand model), which is flat, tapered, and thin. I would love a similar bracelet for my PO. Is there a combination of end links and bracelet from Omega that I could make work? If not, is there a Forstner (or similar) aftermarket alternative?

I've attached a pic of my SM300 Heritage bracelet that I love and I will post pics when my new PO arrives! Thanks all,

Myron

Sorry that I'm not helping you with your question. My advice, which you didn't ask for, is to consider the original 1580/952 steel PO 42mm bracelet. It's my favorite bracelet of all bracelets ever and it's unique to the PO. I can't imagine any other bracelet on this watch, mostly because the curved fully brushed links combined with the aluminum bezel and matte dial sets off a full-steel tool vibe better than any other diver I've ever seen...OMEGA knocked this one out of the park. It reminds me of fictional fantasy inspired nautical diving machines. I can call one out from a mile away. The bracelet is super comfortable as well. But, of course, to each their own! Good luck on your quest.

The original 2500 orange aluminum bezel and orange numerals is the only PO I've ever admired and I'm very happy and proud to have secured mine. It also bears my favorite case back of all time. I hope it wears you well.

Thank you! And actually, I am coming to the same conclusion -- that the OG bracelet is the best way to go. I will be keeping my eye open for one, either new or 2nd hand.

Thanks again, I really appreciate your thoughtful description!

Mine should be here tomorrow by fed ex, if fed ex actually shows up on time for once.

Ebay was through with the authentication on it. Two links on links on the band are not genuine, easy to fix if you ask me.

Just wanted to add that the 1580/952 bracelet is tapered to 18mm at the removable links and clasp. 👍

Thanks, I was thinking it was untapered. I appreciate the info!

I currently have it on a black/orange shell cordovan strap of my own making. It might be a bit too much orange for me, though...
