Bracelet Adjustment Advice

Hi everyone,
Would anyone know how to take links out of this bracelet? I took it to a couple of local watchmakers and they didn't want to mess with it.

Hard to tell without having it in hand, but I would guess that these are 2 piece friction pins. One end is a short pin that press fits into a longer pin from the other side. They would pull apart, but it would be a finicky job.
