Box “Rare” “omega”

I’ve been offered this Omega box for sale, but my first impression is that something doesn’t feel quite right. In more than 20 years of collecting watches, I honestly can’t recall ever seeing anything like it.


Rather than jumping to conclusions, I’d really appreciate the opinion of the knowledgeable and experienced Omega collectors here. Do you believe this is an original Omega box, a reproduction, or perhaps something else entirely? If it is genuine, does anyone know roughly when it was produced and which model or collection it was intended for?
