Bought my birth year watch THEN thought about fakes!

Hi there Omega experts, so I bought what was listed as a 1972 watch, I had no idea people faked these old watches and some of the examples on here are impressive in a dastardly way. The watch works very well and the interior seems legit but I'll attach some photos for you guys to check out if you want to help. Thanks!

It's genuine. Caliber 1022, can't see the serial no well enough to date.
This reference was introduced in 1972, but the only way to know if it's a true birth year watch is to obtain an extract of the archives from Omega.

Nice my own version. No day on mine. Serial number on mine suggests a 1972 also.

Genuine, and it has the deterioration of the lume and dial, as can be seen on these blue dials. Some kind of chemical reactions occur, and maybe this can be more thorougly explained by another OF member. I do like blue dials 😀

Thanks for the replies everyone, I'm very happy with the watch, the dial deterioration doesn't really bother me too much. I've deteriorated a lot too since 1972, mostly in the last two months though (quarantine joke)

One more thing if I may, does anyone have an idea where to get additions links for the bracelet?
It says 1168 on it, I haven't found anything on eBay etc.
I just need one and don't mind if it isn't an exact match, any suggestions?
Thanks again wise ones!

Nice watch, i don't think this particular model is faked, perhaps more likely some redials about but they're easy to spot.

Movement looks pretty clean too(although getting it serviced is always a good idea regardless if sold with the pinch of salt "recently serviced".

Enjoy, makes a change not to see a Franken or Redial with a thread title like this, now breath a sigh of relief.

My (limited) understanding is that the 1168 bracelet is a sought after piece, as that bracelet came with the soyuz Apollo watch, and with the proper end links they can be $$$$$. I'm sure there are variations of buckles and other minutiae which I'm not versed in.
