Bought a Bergeon 7825 - apparently it’s not good for Omega?

Omega boutique near me used a Bergeon 7825 to remove the bracelet on my Speedmaster. I think it was used to put my Seamaster bracelet back but can’t remember. Anyway I’ve purchased one, as I’ve ordered an Uncle Seiko bracelet for my Speedmaster - Omega wouldn’t touch a third party bracelet, and this way it gets me the tools to just do it myself - I have cheap spring bar tools and used them to replace a strap on my Seamaster and SARB033, but have also ordered a Bergeon spring bar tool.

Anyway have been reading, and it’s recommended NOT to use the 7825 on Omega, and it’s best for Rolex. I’ve contacted the seller to see if they can cancel my order - I mean if they can’t okay and I’ll just return, just I’ll take a hit on the delivery.

What tool am I best to use then installing and removing bracelets, or will the tweezers work?

I purchased the Burgeon 7825 and while it works, I much prefer a Bergeon 6767-F spring bar tool. The tweezers take quite a bit more effort by me and take considerably longer, especially with the bracelet of the 3861 Speedy Pro.

I’m on the 1861, it’s not on a bracelet currently as it’s on a NATO, but assumed (wrongly) that the 7825 would have been easier to fit my new bracelet on. I mean is it worth me receiving the order and trying it out? A lot of money for a tool that might not work so great

Personally, I’d say no. But that’s just one data point. The tweezers just end up frustrating me and aren’t a good tool for me and my Omegas. It does work better on my Tokyo 2020 with the more robust bracelet, so your experience may be different.

I just don’t find the tool to be a huge improvement, especially at the price.

No that works for me. I’ve emailed the seller to ask them to cancel and, in the mean time, have ordered the F variant of the 6767 (I’d already ordered the S one). Hopefully they’ll cancel the order.

It's hard to imagine why this would be the case. Where did this information come from?

I don’t even know how anyone could say X is not good for Omega but is for Rolex when Omega has made so many different types of lugs, springbars and endlinks, from drilled lugs to normal collared springbars to springbars with the notch thingy sticking out to female springbars, to weird shaped springbars to no springbars. It’s got to be pretty hard to one size fits all that.

I also have the 6767 with the fine fork tool and it works wonderfully

have purchased and tried less expensive similar tools and the bergeon is in another tier for quality you’ll understand when you hold it against other lesser options
