I would like to get more knowledge about watches in general. History Technical, how they work etc. Where should I start. I have done an Amazon search. It yields books like this that looks interesting. http://www.amazon.com/Mastery-Time-...F8&qid=1445965169&sr=1-7&keywords=watchmaking What else is recommended? PS: I did a basic glance for topics like this on the forum, but will do an more in depth search.
Hodinkee recommended "The Art of Watchmaking" by George Daniels a while back, and I'm made to understand this is considered a bible of watchmaking much the same as MWO or AJTT is of Omega / Speedmasters. https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=the+art+of+watchmaking+george+daniels&tbm=shop
For your higher end timekeeping needs "The Marine Chronometer" by Gould is a heavy read...... but you'll learn a ton!
