Looks nice enough albeit from limited pictures. Factoring in a service is sort of standard on pre-owned watches more than a couple years old, so that wouldn’t worry me too much.

I’d work on the price - it’s not wildly high but, given that you’ll be spending service cost, I’d knock it down a few hundred.

Thanks for the input! Price is in cdn $$ so around 1680 usd. The seller is actually several hundred kms from me, but is traveling through on vacation and can bring the watch to me for consideration. Don’t have access to a watchmaker to weigh in, so kinda nervous!

It 100% needs a service. The oils have dried up.

I’m in Canada - as I said, not a bad price but I’m sure you can bring it down a few hundred and make it a good price.

Looks legit, expect a few hundred for a service if no parts are needed.

I agree with all above. The price is a rad on the high side. Service will cost you.

    Good luck

Thank you all. Anything I should ask the seller? Things I should look at, other than the obvious, when I check it out in the flesh?

$100 off ;) and ask for box and cards and even spare links if he has them ( didn't read add )

It's what you want, just buy it.

We buy watches worth thousands all the time, you get used to it. ( sounds like your first one so good luck )

I bought the watch, BTW! Thanks for all the advice and I’ll post some pics when it’s back from service!
