Blue bezel with titanium vs blue bezel with steel

Hi all, has anyone seen the new steel PO with the blue bezel in the flesh? How does that compare with blue bezel with titanium?

I would like to have a PO in my collection and would like a blue one as I had the black version some time back. Am undecided over Ti GMT or wait for the new ones from Basel this year.

Anyone with the Ti GMT here? Could you please post some shots? Not able to find many floating around in the forums. How does it wear since it must be much lighter?

Thanks!!

So.... I dropped by an OB and they had the Ti PO GMT. The saleswoman started bringing out Ti watches and ended up trying the Ti Speedmaster. Wow I did not expect it to look that good in the flesh! Now I am absolutely torn-was not planning to spend that much on a watch but I like the speedmaster more. What do you guys think? 4bba87b18c43d941f4a846f3993b066c.jpg 32b995f43869eb06d323704bfef377c7.jpg 6addfa8778c4bebba99c6e9813eed895.jpg

YOU put yourself in this situation, don't try and spread the blame!

Very different watches. You like the blue speedy more then snag it before some loser gets it! However, the PO is a diver, plus a GMT! If you are trying to round out your collection...

definitly the PO, a real speedmaster is mechanical and that's all there is to it 馃槣

^^x2. I personally would go with the PO, and a Speedy Pro. (in fact, that is exactly what I did!)

I would go with the blue moonphase coming out in October.

I almost bought the Ti Speedmaster but didn't because I didn't like the finish of the bezel blue needs to be ceramic with liquid metal.

I have the TiPO (non GMT) and its the watch I wear the most as it's so comfortable to wear because it is so light. It's fairly chunky, but as it's titanium that doesn't matter. My personal preference would be for the PO over the Speedmaster but Ti is the right way to go.

Thanks for the input guys. It is amazing how Ti makes the bigger watches wearable because of how light it is.

I had my eye on that as well, the liquid metal bezel is definitely a plus! It is definitely a nice watch! The dial is a little too busy for my liking though. Please post wrist shots when u receive it!

I did that last night 馃榾 keep us posted if u get it! IMHO it is definitely worth seeing it in the flesh, I did not expect much from the stock photos but seeing it live made me change my mind immediately.

It was one of those watches that made me go 'wow'. According to my partner that is the acid test for whether I should spend so much money on a watch 馃榿

Totally. For me, 45.5 PO steel on steel is unwearably heavy. Can't imagine the GMT.

Ti on ti is fine- though I still prefer Ti on rubber in terms of weight and "everydayness."

I absolutely adore the Ti Speedmaster in blue. I too was blown away when I saw it in the flesh. I thought to myself that I must have it at some point.

Then I ended up getting the Ti PO 45.5 (8500) and sort of forgot all about the Speedy. While I like the GMT PO, I love the 8500 PO. So much so that I now own it in stainless steel, Ti, and Ceragold. The Ti is hands down the most comfortable PO I have ever owned. It's great on both bracelet and the blue rubber strap. In fact I now prefer it on the blue rubber strap. It's a big watch but you don't even notice it due to the weight. The Ti is insanely light. It's about 150 grams on a fully complete bracelet (to contrast the Ceragold is about 205 grams on rubber).

If you're leaning towards the Ti GMT PO you won't be disappointed. The titanium makes it very wearable and you can also swap out the bracelet for a couple different straps to really change it up as well. Also, the liquid metal bezel in blue is unreal. Under certain jewelry store lights it almost seems "too blue" but when natural light hits it just right it's stunning. The blue really changes almost from a very deep royal blue to this beautiful silver/navy blue.

If I had my choice between that exact watch in SS vs Ti I would definitely do the Ti again.

- but maybe get the Speedy too just in case!

got to try the Ti Speedy in blue recently. underwhelmed. beautiful on display but not so great on the wrist. Its blue color is not as dark and rich compared to other Omega' blue's. I guess a bit muted to retain that classic SMP "heritage" look, but was not for me. the biggest issue, which I understand is a very polarizing issue, is the weight. it's too light that it lacks that feel of luxury and quality. feels like you have a cheap plastic watch on your wrist.

At this moment I really like both! As for your suggestion to get both, let's see how this develops 馃榾
