Blatant fake or deal of the century?

I have limited knowledge about modern Omegas (as well as on most other subjects, really!), so when this popped up last night, I didn't act on it.

Limited Omega Sea master on eBay.

What are your take? Fake watch, stolen picture or legit, but clueless, seller?

One photo, total description is "amazing watch," seller has 0 feedback. The hands (among other things) are horrible. Someone paid $1,100 for a cool bezel. Seller knows what he sold.

Zero feedback seller and only one picture, I can understand your hesitation. Though I can't answer your question...

I didn't lose any sleep over not bidding, I was only curious to hear your assesment 😀
Actually didn't see the 0 feedback score, that would have ended my speculations immediately...

Let's say i had put in a winning bid, how would I stand regarding getting the money back through eBay? Would it matter if the watch arrived and it turned out to be fake?

HE valve knurling seems off... Hands might be correct as it is a bad picture. Numbers don't appear raised enough but again could be the shot. Same with the seamaster text it looks too raised in that shot but a real one will show highlights like that one under the right light. Bezel is on the money though.

A reverse image search does not show that image....

There seems to be a ridiculous number of fakes of these out there, If no movement shot I've been looking at the HEv knurling as its wrong on a bunch of them out there.

::edit::
Ok there is something wrong with the bezel based on my references, I can pm the answer to someone as I do not really want to post it.

I think it's hard to say based on just that one picture.

If it arrives and is a fake, you can get your money back through ebay. Open a dispute saying watch is not as described and is a replica.
Replicas are not allowed under ebay policy and you should have no problems. Only real way to tell if it is a replica is to take the caseback off.

Replicas are getting good, some even have swiss movements and decorated like omegas.

Watch is a REPLICA, date window should be next to the 3oclock marker , not have a space between it. HE valve is off. Should be slightly above the 50.
The finer details in the hands are not there as well.
If you put in a winning bid you need to retract it stating "Financial reasons".
DO NOT BUY THIS REPLICA

On some of the Omegas, they are even using OEM Omega parts to make it even harder to tell it's a fake.

Quality is definitely improving on these replica watches. Before buying my BLUE Blancpain FF I did some research, and determined that there was just one tell sign to see if it was a fake. Overall I can understand how most people can be fooled, certainly not a good.

Hands and date window and knurl on He valve look just like mine, which is real. I think the pic is a real PO

When making comparisons, keep in mind the 2500 PO's look different than the 8500 PO's....

Based on that picture I would say that the watch is genuine. However, that is not to say that this watch is in the possession of the seller or that this is what you will receive.

I have received a rock, a fake and nothing at all... Depending on what you get and how you claim is the process you must follow.
For example:

1. The rock. I had to file a police report and submit that.
2. The fake. You need to get a letter from an independent source stating it is a fake and an IC3 report.
3. Nothing. Well, they sent nothing so nothing to show but without a tracking number you are covered.

Best - Ron

Just to be clear, I didn't buy this - I rationalised that it was probably either a counterfeit, a stolen watch or that I would receive a package of nothing.
