Well I ultimately decided to send back the 3510.50 and try searching for another.. in the end I found a much newer Speedmaster 38 for sale for only a few hundred dollars more. In the end, this is the one I ended up with and although I do appreciate the design of the 3510.50, the updated features of the 38 ended up giving me some added practically and a much newer watch.

Congratulations, it’s awesome. I think you’ve made a very sound decision - you’ve ended up with the smaller Speedy you wanted but without all of the uncertainty and hassle around the Reduced you had.

good choice to send it bach imo.
new watch is great even when i like the reduced a lot! but with that „marks“ i doubt i would have true joy…

I agree and that was my biggest motivation to send it back. To me, any luxury watch is an emotional purchase and you spend a lot of time looking at it on your wrist. If something about it bothers you, it will jump out at you and bother you over the course of time.
