    Hi,

Can't imagine finding an Omega OEM strap somewhere in the wild except by luck on ebay or so.

Reference for the strap (black fullcut Lousiana alligator) is: 98000008 (20>16mm)
And the reference for the deployant clasp is: 94521613

The 98000008 is pretty rare, as I said, more often to find are deployant strap with 20>18mm, for these you will need another clasp (94521813)

    Good hunting :)

What does that cost including the clasp in the Boutique?

Just roughly: strap is about €300 and the clasp slightly below that (€200 to 250 or so)

Would rather buy a similar strap And then buy a Omega clasp.
Www.watchgecko.com does have some nice straps.

    Second that entirely.
Even Kaufmann has gorgeous leather strap for 18mm deployant clasps. Not really cheap but always an alternative to the oem stuff

    Look no further: https://www.aaronbespoke.com/

Completely customized, truly bespoke, excellent quality. Deployant is very robust, strap quality is terrific. No, it’s not an Omega strap and deployant that cost roughly $800. Rather, it’s a bespoke Alligator strap (or another skin of your choice), with lining and stitching of your choice, facilitated with exceptional customer service - then couriered to you. All in for $325. Canadian dollars.

@chriz74 which OEM strap are you hunting for? One with a 20/16 taper or 20/18 taper? Swisswatchspares.com may have what you’re looking for if you want OEM.

Beautiful strap—looks great on your Speedmaster. The brand’s name, however, reminded me of this 2016 NY Times article about the recent ubiquitous use of the adjective “bespoke.” It’s an amusing read.

Thank you! And thanks for the link to the article. An entertaining read, certainly. I completely agree; ‘bespoke’, especially when referring to a salad or cocktail, is not only misplaced usage, it’s simply too precious for words and reeks of cool-kid hipsterism. Barf worthy.

In Aaron’s case, however, these straps live up to the original definitions as outlined in the article, ‘ “(of goods, especially clothing) made to order.”’, and, ‘a descriptor of specially commissioned products distinct from the mass-produced, ready-made kind.’ His straps embody both of these descriptions.

And hey! You may prefer his company’s other name: Combat Straps. :D

Agree on all counts  Aaron delivers exceptional craftsmanship & quality with outstanding customer service - here’s the Ostrich leather strap he crafted for my Breitling deployant.

    :)
