I know that most of these are redails, but to my naive eye there are no obvious signs of a redial. I am not going to bid on it, but am building my knowledge. Thank you all. Sorry the pictures are poor, it was all there is. I can share the eBay post if anyone wants.

I would have done... But the seller (and more and more do, unfortunately) uses this insane new ebay all-in-shipping-program feature, that doesn't accept bidders from any countries that don't provide full insurance on watches (though clearly stated otherwise). So most likely this watch will go to a US buyer.

Looks legit to me, but I dont think I've seen those stick hour markers before with the dauphine handset. Just a rarer model?

There were so many dial variants for these 50s Seamasters that if you count all of the not-so-commonly seen ones as “rare”, almost all of them would be a rare.

Black gloss and silver gilt, a very nice combination! I hope someone here gets it.

I thought it was going to go for under $700, but then jumped to $1333 in the last couple seconds. Anyone here get it?

Yeah, wondering the same. Unfortunately due to GSP restrictions I wasn't able to bid on it.

Hopefully someone here got it and nice to see that the seller got a decent price on it. Under 700 would have been a steal even with service cost included imo.

Sorry to side step, but I haven't heard this restriction before. I know people hate GSP for the crazy customs values. etc. But does this mean that the GSP broker won't ship to a country who's final leg local carrier doesn't insure watches? That's crazy, considering most carriers won't insure watches. Even FedEx, etc.

Yes this new insane ebay GSP leads back to local auctions, at least for items offered in the category wristwatches.

If the seller uses the GSP, it's impossible to bid due to these shipping restrictions, unless you live in the right part of the world. Most sellers and even ebay service employees don't know this and it's impossible to find the reason in the description of the auction or the regular terms.

Glad I stopped using it. Still dumb. Sounds like I need to start making friends for relay work.

At least until ebay notice it's not a mature system and they stop dumping themselves.
