Can someone tell me (or point me in the right direction) as to what year Omega released the 3570.50 with the cal. 1861? . I am sure Omega finished production in July 2014.

Any links/ideas as to model types during these years?

    Cheers

Update: 1996. Were there any modifications, differences between 1996 - 2014 worth noting that effected the model. My son is out to get one and not sure in which years to look. Besides the age, is there much difference?

    Opinions and viewpoints please.

    Cheers

Don't think they even stopped or changed anything in 2014 think they just changed the numbering system to the new format and gave it a new $500 box.

Thanks, Standy. Just looking through some searches on OF now and it appears you are correct. I hear it's hard to get a good one in Oz, do you have a view on that? His birth year is 1980 so he may consider a 145.022-78 if a good one can be come across.

    Cheers.

All good vintage watches are hard to find in Australia at times. Have found speedmasters on EBay Australia are always expensive for some reason

The bracelet also changed with the new model - it has screws that hold the pins in the bracelet in place...

Around 2004, the dot under "500" on the tachymeter moved from being closer to "5" to being closer to "0"

There was a change to the dials and hands at some point of course from tritium to luminova. I think this would be in 1998 the change was made to luminova.

Also there were several different bracelets used on the 35705000 reference.

    Cheers, Al
