Bezel repair

Hi everyone,

I have a 2021 speedy and just below the 90 I have slightly dented the bezel, do you know if that can be repaired or if I will always have a dented bezel? Also does anyone have any experience in knowing how much it will cost to repair?

Thank you!

There's no way to repair this type of damage that I'm aware of. But since it's a modern watch, you can simply have the bezel replaced. For most accurate information, you should ask the official Service Center about the cost.

Just accept it as a battle scar and live with it until your first service, then spend the money to have it replaced. But perhaps by then, you wont even care.

Isn`t that the highly sought aftre "dent under 90" bezel?

Wouldn’t bother getting the bezel ring fixed, just accept it and move on 😊

For the sake of price, I had my Tachymetre bezel changed to a Decimal for 150 CHF upon request during a service at an OB. The original bezel had no dents, but I don't think they would charge you more.

Now that I look closely, the bezel type swap was only possible for previous gen 1861. For yours, there are no other bezel types but I guess that changing a bezel during the first service at a small upcharge (compared to the service cost itself) is worth it.

The bezel can be replaced if that's what you want. If it bothers you, get it replaced. While it may not bother others, it clearly bothers you and it's your wrist the watch will be worn on.

BTW - Find an independent watchmaker with an Omega parts account and you could have just the bezel replaced without a service required. You don't have to go through an Omega/Swatch Service Center.

Thought I would update. Have been in touch with the service centre and have been quoted £180 for a new bezel, that doesn’t include installation but they couldn’t give me a quote immediately. Think I’ll wait for until my first service!
