I am looking to get either a blue ceramic Seamaster pro, no box/papers and pre owned, or a Speedy in the same effect.

I just want a nice reliable watch I can wear everyday and I don't mind it getting a bit scuffed up.

Which do you think would be better as an everyday, any occasion watch?

 

Do you swim or partake in water sports?

Otherwise it’s pretty much looks.

Personally I swap between my Speedy and one of my Divers most days. Both choices are good everyday watches. The Speedy dresses up a bit better.

 

I have both and feel the SMP is a better everyday choice. My Speedy has the hesalite crystal and it does attract scratches easily. And the lack of a date may or may not be an issue. I have looked at automatic Speedmasters with the date, but most are very thick. When I bought my blue SMP I was actually shopping for a Submariner. But I found the Seamaster to be more appealing in every way. That said, my usual daily is now an Explorer II. But until I bought that, the Seamaster was my daily.
