If you are looking for under 40mm, then I think it is very hard to beat the Speedy 60th. The dial looks amazing in different lighting. Although I go back and forth on the fauxtina, the feel on the wrist is superb and discrete.

I have the impression that you really want a professional... Go with it, if you don't get used with it, should be easy to sell.
😀

I would *not* buy a Speedmaster reduced, thanks to its Dubois-Depraz chronograph module.

Aside that, there is the Mark 40 Triple Date (a.k.a. The Octopus), it is the one I use as avatar.

Advantages when compared to the Reduced:
a) The movement is a real chronograph, not an add-on module. The Valjoux 7750 family is sturdy, reliable and easy to service.
b) 39mm diameter with a nice bracelet.
c) Has some nice dials, like this one that is a nice tone of blue soleil.
d) Has a triple date complication.
e) Some variants also got a nice applied omega logo.

I have the Moonwatch and the CK 2998 Limited, which has the same case as the FOIS.

I often read that the FOIS would not be or wear smaller as the Moonwatch but in my eyes there is a significant difference. While I love the Moonwatch I really think that the CL suits my 18 cm wirst better. It does wear smaller and looks sleaker. So I would recommend the FOIS when someone is looking for a smaller Speedmaster.

That being said, the CK has two downsides that should be the same for the FOIS.

First: the lume is ridiculously poor on that one. The minute hand has just a very thin line. In the dark the watch becomes a Meistersinger - a one handed watch.

Second: the readability (is that a word? I am no native speaker) can be bad. The alpha hands tend to disappear in a certain lighting.

Nevertheless I would say that the FOIS could be a good choice for you.

the fois does wear smaller. I’ve had the pro, the fois and currently have the 2998 (fois case) it is smaller and to my eyes a little tighter than the pro. I do agree on the legibility.

Hi,

I recommend the FOIS and all other editions using this case where the tachymetre has the same shape as it has at the Speedy Pro.
That is the big difference compared to the Mark 40 Triple Date and the older Racing Speedys. I don't like the angle of brezel at these.
It looks a bid strange to me.

Speedy Racing, MK40, etc. …: No Step

FOIS and other Editions (like the Speedy Pro): Clear Step

Ck2915 remake, aka the 60th trilogy broadarrow speedmaster

wearing mine today and it’s legendary especially for speedmaster fans

It wears noticeable different to all my other Speedmasters including the ck2918 copies

I think it’s 38.4mm

I still have a feeling the Speedy 60th Anniversary is quite underrated. Faux patina I know... But otherwise....

Love my 60th as well - but with a different strap, because of the giant original clasp 😎

You are right, the clasp is too thick...
What is the bracelet? 1171 with different endlinks?

I’m really pleased with this recent arrival. And feels just right on my skinny wrist...

Second (third?) the 60th, if you can find one. Great size, details and still manages a fair bit of wrist presence.

Hi,

It is the 1125 with 617 endlinks *love it

That one fits to the FOIS, CK 2998, Pulsometer
and others.

Nice! May i ask what strap this is?
That's an OEM Omega, 19mm ballistic nylon strap. Sorry, but I can't find the part number. This model (watch) came with either a strap or a bracelet. I bought mine with the bracelet, and sourced the strap later.
