There's Ebay of course, then there's Chrono24, anyone have any recommended websites or sellers outside of these? Trying to finish off a project here for an old 30T2 movement solid pink gold watch I have. Omega sent me a YG replacement crown as the old one was quite burnished and my watchmaker went ahead and installed it for some reason? Can't even wear the watch now...

Hopefully obvious, but the more common term is rose gold vs pink gold. Might help on your internet searches. Compatible crowns and buckles easily found on eBay as you noted.

Ofrei.com has some Omega pink gold crowns:

However, people who have bought them tell me that the shade of gold plating used doesn’t always match the vintage watch cases.

Another solution would be to have a jeweler replate the yellow gold crown to match.

Hope this helps,

Thanks so much guys. I did try and have them plated locally and they just really mucked it up. Limited plating options here unfortunately.

Agreed it'd be cheaper and easier in the long run. Just need to find a decent service.

BTW any reliable source for a YG plated 60's Omega buckle ? I just started Googling, but E-Bay offers are 90% fake (or is it 99% ??)

@gatorcpa suggested OFREI as a crown source, so I'll have a look at them and see whether they also offer buckles, but any other suggestion is appreciated, thanks !

Despite your correct statement that almost all of the buckles on eBay are fake, 1% of many is greater than 100% of nothing.

Just consult the thread about Omega buckles on this forum, so you will know what to look for.

At one point, Omega made reproductions of their 1950’s buckles for one of their Co-Axial Watches. At one time, you could buy replacements of those buckles at a Boutique. Unfortunately, I think these have now been discontinued.

Thanks for your valuable statement ! As a matter of fact, I had already started a deep reading of this extremely valuable thread from @omegastar, so I now believe I know what to look for; I would however prefer to buy from a known and reliable source rather than get hooked by a "smart faker" from Fleabay... I will ask my watchmaker if he knows of any reputable source. I can also see that some are asking for ridiculous prices though I believe their pieces would certainly be authentic : €300 - €400 and even €500 (plus postage cost...) for a goldplated buckle !
He's perfectly right to try, no point, and I'm perfectly right to pass.

Look for a generic gold filled crown. Most back then weren't signed
