Black dials are uncommon on Omega's and this seller is selling a number of them. He's also from South Korea. Can anybody spot anything that doesn't look right?
The "r" in Seamaster looks a bit off to me. There isn't quite enough of a gap between OMEGA and AUTOMATIC either. Damn good job though.
Yes. Shouldn't be white or silver printing on these. On genuine black dials, the printing was gilt. Case is overpolished as well. Looks like a melted ice cube. I've seen some excellent quality redials coming out of South Korea. Someone there really knows what they are doing. If they can fix a few flaws in their processes, they will be dangerous for collectors. gatorcpa

With the direct comparison you can start to see the difference between the two. The AUTOMATIC lines up differently under OMEGA. The SEAMASTER has a couple of font problems. the M is different and so is the R.
Now that's good to know! Nice! If I had a choice I would prefer the white gold markers with the black dial though. I can see small variations in the font with SEAMASTER. T & R are different. SWISS MADE versus SWISS as well.
That's the hardest thing to do for a re dialer. With a loupe it will be easier to check those minute markers, the sharpness, the evenness in length etc....
I was once told if the watch said swiss, the movement was swiss and the watch assembled in another country, To say swiss made the watch had to be swiss made and assembled. is that correct ?
