Best integrated rubber strap for Planet Ocean 8900

I have a Planet Ocean 8900 43.5 in blue and the bracelet is so heavy. I really love it but I'm looking for an integrated rubber bracelet and have had a lot of trouble finding a company that makes them. I love the alligator/rubber OEM strap but with the clasp it's super expensive. Any suggestions?

I’ve been after the same information... hoping someone responds with an answer!

Omega doesn't even sell the alligator/rubber option on their website for the PO as far as I can tell.... it's brutal.

The straps/clasps are expensive, but they are definitely great quality. When I had my blue P.O. like yours, I got this strap from my boutique.

I used to own the blue PO, now the orange and white.

I tried a bunch of different straps, but for the 43.5 planet ocean, I was only ever happy with the OEM straps. You can order them directly from the boutique, just give them a call.

The OEM solution I think it best, best integration and I like the white stitching to help class it up a bit. Search around, and you can find the strap and deployant buckle from time to time on eBay and sites for significantly cheaper than through Omega. I ended up piecing mine together through eBay for under $500, both new.

Strap: 9800434 (21mm to 18mm taper)
Clasp: 94521873

With the clasp you have a few options, I went with all brushed, some are brushed/polished. You just need the 18mm size.

Pics attached of the OEM set up, bonus that it matches my wall color. . .

They do order them from the boutique. I got a similar one for my titanium one as well.

You have to get it at an OB or AD, and probably ask them to order it.

Controversial take, but I got this one from Aliexpress for $15 with a solid deployment clasp. It’s honestly ridiculous how good it is for the price. My PO probably spends half of the year on this one and it is held up great for the past 18 months or so. I also have a black one for my Speedy. I’m sure OEM is amazing, but I couldn’t justify the price at this point in my life.

There are a ton of aftermarket, affordable options out there. The Strapsco sailing cloth strap is a great option.

However, nothing comes close to the OEM fit and feel. IMHO, the cost is worth it. My personal favorite is the rubber strap from the Worldtimer.

These straps are available through your local AD. The strap you see here is for the previous models of Planet Ocean. The trick is to find a salesperson that will help you source the part number to place an order. You won’t see them on the official website because they aren’t part of the current models of watches being offered. Omega keep a number of parts available for customers to purchase to restore and or replace damaged parts.

This was going back several years. They weren’t available online when it was current either. I ordered from an AD special. Expensive but worth it.

I’m glad you were able to find it! I recently ordered a black rubber strap with this texture for my black Planet Ocean from my local AD this week.

I’ve had to get a bit creative in navigating the Omega website from time to time. It seems odd that they wouldn’t list a strap for the current models offered unless it’s a special addition strap for a specific timepiece. I’ve searched the straps and accessories tab and then later added the reference number to check compatibility before, sometimes that helps... But for example: I’ve found that the sailcloth strap for the Silver Snoopy can be tricky to find. I’ll likely have to have my salesperson at my local AD source that one for me.
