Now I think on it the UK now has an aircraft carrier that has no naval protection and as yet no ready aircraft 🤦
My god they doubled down on the F35C and ignored the F35B....

Worst airplane program ever and it all tracks to the C variant

Going well under the 2.000€ pricing by about 1500€ , you could a lot worse than a Seiko Prospex turtle .Super comfy on the wrist & virtually bulletproof ,

Wow! I'd not seen that one yet. I've wanted the PADI for the last year or two but haven't pulled the trigger. That may have just been superseded by this, the SRPC91.

That is a wave pattern I like, unlike the new Seamaster (which I think is pretty terrible, imho).

Got to be honest , I wasn't looking for one of these but couldn't resist buying it once I'd seen the dial , & just put it on a new strap tonight . Not sure yet about the watch strap , but will give it a day or two & see how it goes but cannot recommend this watch highly enough ,

Time for me to sell some stuff in the watchbox. Maybe I can trade my Prometheus Jellyfish for one.

That's a very nice watch. I've put one on my wrist a couple of months ago and loved it, even with some Cinderella wrists, which is my case. Solid, sturdy, well built, with nice details like the gradient on the dial or the black edge of the bezel and the black crown. In Portugal it costs 480€. A bargain

For less than 2000 euros, you cannot go wrong with a Seiko Marine Master 300.

Photo courtesy of Watch Review Blog, this is one is of the SBDX001 which is no longer in production but can still be found for your price range.

I bought this in May 1999 for $270 and still have the original receipt. 1500+ dives (recreational and commercial) and daily wear.
The colors have faded and the numbers/dots on the bezel have lost their paint, but it has NEVER leaked, stopped or needed a repair.
After several routine services and numerous dive straps, it is now on a black NATO. Absolutely fantastic watch.

We should do a podcast on dive watches and the He valve conundrum! I’ve got a few hundred and comfortable sit under professional certs.

Here's one under 2000 US cents. Any estimates as to how deep it go can without leaking? Probably wouldn't survive the bathtub. I actually kinda like this one. I cannot find even a photo of another like it online. I challenge members here to find another example of this watch. I know, even if it's the only one known, it's still not worth a lot. I'm guessing it's one of those 1 jewel wonders. Who needs all those wear-resistant pivot points? Just a buncha fancy schmancy watch hoodoo.🤦

Notice that the hands are all very short as they would hit the super tall lumed indices if they were standard length.

This one is often overlooked, but I would put it up against any mechanical watch for divers. They can be had for about 1200 usd. This is the Nassau model. Amazing watch. Truly.
