Interesting thread...
I just had a look at my watches and they are roughly split 50/50 between date and no date.
Of the ones I have with a date window, I do like the symmetry of this Monaco (although the dial is a little fussy),

Not my watch, taken from their website, but Lange does beautiful things with date windows - I would suggest it’s their trademark (along with the movement finishing).

That design is now iconic for ALS but I think GO does the big date better by putting the two digits closer together and on the same depth level.

Many wholes in one dial to display the date...

forgive my ignorance, but what is the date? The 26th or the 27th?

Already love this thread.. The much hated hole in the dial gets too little love 😉
Here's another reference for the date window.

27th, the red is on both sides of the date highlighting the number.

While I may not be fond of date features, this thread is becoming a great resource for viewing the dial treatments featuring dates.

Wish Omega had produced C-Case Constellations without date.

I personally would try not to buy a watch with a date display for two reasons, first I feel they generally ruin the symmetry of the dial (there are a few nice examples on here that don't) and secondly, it's there to tell me the date and I hate having to remember to change it myself when there isn't 31 days in the month, so I end up having to tell it the date every now and again - pointless IMO, that's why they invented digital watches 😗

Good question I don’t know to be honest
Perhaps it is 20pm between 26th and 27th?
I do not own this watch just liked the way of indication

This one in on my list, but it is pretty thick and I would want to try it on before purchase. But I have never seen one in real like. Heck, I am not sure I have even seen one in WRUW.

The GMT is the one I want, but either would work.

Is this thread able to be moved to Open Discussion as it is clearly much broader than UG?

Quite taken with the 'Garrard' t.b.h. i'm surprisingly taken with the whole watch.
