Hi, I'm new here, so apologies if this is not the correct place to post. I have acquired a watch called Omega Ranchero. It is not the 30mm Ranchero from the 50s and 60s. It is a model that was sold only in the Belgian market in 1976. It looks similar to a Seamaster from that era. Ref no: 1360106, ST1980066 and it runs on a 1030 caliber. The material is stainless steel and the face is black, Size is approx 36mm. All I know is that the Ranchero name was revived by Omega's Belgian agent in 1976, so this is definitely not the Frankenwatch I originally suspected it to be. It was discontinued very quickly in Belgium, so I am assuming it is very rare. There are no box/papers and the bracelet is not original. I would really appreciate if someone could tell me more about this oddity. thank you!
Yep, that's the watch. Not sure on the dial being original but that's kind of what I remember font-wise. They don't bring much money. Collectors are much more interested in the 50's models.
OK ,thanks for that ulackfocus. I had hoped the rarity might add to the value. I saw one on a German forum go for €950, but was hoping it would be more than that. Nevermind
Its not what you'd expect being a cushion case either, very different. I actually like the applied metal logo and flat black dial in that case, that's a pretty cool look, would be mean on mesh.
