Beautiful vintage omega dial (looking for advice!)

Been offered this beautiful dial that measures 26mm. Would love to find a watch to put it on but have no idea what period, what movement, or what case would this fit? Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you~

That dial is a beaut!

Looks to be early Omega vintage maybe?

If you ever do get it all assembled with a movement, case, etc. please post about it and definitely provide pictures of the watch?

Maybe even start a thread on the process of gathering parts and assembly, etc. that is if you are going to do the assembly yourself?

that dial looks... too good to be true? front looks pristine, for such an oxidized back.

I think you need a 2300 with a t17 inside to fit it in. Correct hands will be hard to find.

I believe you meant to say R17.8 SC.

It is quite small in size and spend most of its time in the box of a collector.
