Up for grabs is this lovely vintage IWC from my collection. The watch is beautiful, dates to 1957, and is in excellent overall condition. The 18k yellow gold case measures 35mm excluding the crown. There is a hallmark clearly visible on the side of one of the lugs. I would say that the case may have been lightly polished at one time, but retains all of its original lines, and looks superb. The dial is in excellent condition. There is some minor corrosion on the second hand, but the hour and minute hands (higher gold content, of course) are excellent. There are a couple of tiny – and I do mean tiny – nicks on the corners of two of the embossed hour markers. Those flaws are only visible under magnification. The cal. 89 movement is clean and beautiful. It is working well, but I do not know the last date of service, and would recommend one for regular use. I will say that the watch is more attractive in person than the photos below, as I just couldn't capture it as well as I would have liked. $1900 shipped EMS worldwide from Portugal. Feel free to ask any questions! Tony C.
@Tony C. I didn't realize you were in Portugal. Were you the seller on EBay that had the Longines Chronometer listed a few months back? Beautiful watch, GLWS!
@Rumar89 Hi Rumar. Yes, Lisboa And thanks! I haven't sold a Longines chronometer recently, but I'm considering putting a steel one up for sale...
Lovely watch and great seller.. You really can't ask for a better deal if you're now in the market for an 18k cal.89. GLWS Tony!
