Beads of Rice

I need info to allow me to gain a small understanding of the confusing and daunting world of Beads of Rice bracelets. To be specific I have recently purchased a beautiful Seamaster Cosmic gold plated watch, which is just fabulous visually and accuracy. Sadly it is a bit too tight and I need to add a link, and towards fulfilling that end I purchased a used bracelet on Ebay, which l assumed would fit. Well, that didn’t work. So, my band has 523 lug and 166036 with stamping No.12 1068. Now, so far this seems to be a pretty rare critter, and all I am looking for is a link, but with my first effort proving fruitless, I figure I need some guidance on the World of identifying BOR bracelets and what bracelets would offer interchangeability of links. If there exists a chart showing Omega’s bracelets and technical details I’d love to know about it. And, failing that, if someone can tell me what bracelets I could use a link from to add to mine I would be most grateful.

Thank you.

It’s simply a 1068 beads of rice so you need another with removable links intact (or obviously just the links).

Os the one you bought from eBay a 1068??

Thank you, the bracelet only was stamped No.12 with no accompanying number. So, you are saying the only number that I need to match is the 1068?

yes that’s the bracelet reference number. Be aware they come in both gold plate and steel and obviously you need gold plate.
Also try and get one with the removable link still present.

I'm reasonably sure that No 12 identifies the clasp.
I think that this is right. The 12 appears both on the OEM Omega and the JB Champion for Omega (made in the USA) clasps.

Oh well, since I brought up this topic and really appreciate the info folks have shared, thought I'd post a pic of the Seamaster along with a Connie I bought for my wife.
