Beads of rice hack: perfect fitting end links

Been meaning to share this for a while. For those of you who are struggling to find decent fitting end links for a 5 row BoR on a dog leg Connie. I never felt any of the 11/511 end links fit well. The 7 row BoR’s always fit better with the stock end links (although I can’t remember what number they are) however if you’re anything like me I much prefer the 5 row.

I stumbled across uncle seiko’s Beads of rice bracelet for the dog leg constellation but dismissed it - I already had a genuine omega beads of rice so why would I opt for an aftermarket one. What I did notice though was how well fitting the end links were in the photos.

A bit of searching on uncle seikos site and I found you can buy end links separately! Long story short I ordered a couple and here are the results.

Still kept my genuine end links incase I ever sell the watch but for everyday wear these look so much better!

Fit is so close to the case, not rattle, no movement, no gaps.

Only thing I did notice was usually to stop genuine end links moving about I use thicker 1.8mm spring bars, whereas for this I actually had to use slimmer 1.5mm bars.

The 7 row end links are 70/570. I had the same problem, and actually went to 2.0mm springbars. Esslinger sells them for a decent price. Once I used the 2mm spring bars, I never had an issue again.

Don't suppose you could give a link to Uncle Seikos page to purchase the end links. I've checked there in the past. This would solve a great deal of my pains.

Side note, I think I just picked up (not arrived yet!) basically the same watch! I picked up a Turler pie pan 168.005 on Ebay last week in stainless! Looks awesome!
