Beads of rice bracelet search

Hi all,

looking for a supplier for a NOS or reproduction gold beads of rice bracelet for my 58 Seamaster in 14K. Maybe I’m wrong. Should that watch even have a BOR?

Have seen a few reproductions online, but they are just jubilees and miss the rice mark.

Any guidance is appreciated!

Would you mind sharing a photo of the watch? Do you know the reference?

Do you mind if it is a solid gold BOR or a plated BOR?

Out of town for a few days, I’ll get photos up soon. Thanks!

Mine is a seven-row and you need a five-row with 11 ends, I think.

Be aware that was likely sold on a leather strap.

Thanks for the insight! I’ll look for a good clasp first it instead.

do you happen to know what it fits? I have a couple gold capped pie pans and would like to find a decent gold colored beads of rice band with compatible end links. even if yours isn't compatible with them I would keep it around for whenever I happen to find a gold capped watch it fits.

I'm afraid the ends aren't marked and the bracelet is not marked for reference number. It might be an older copy.

A BOR does look good on a 50s fat lug but be aware that It is quite possible that this kind of bracelet wasn’t seen pre 1960 so isn’t actually all that original for this model. Here is a pic of a steel 1959 2846 on a genuine 60s BOR model 1036:

Here is my solid 18k version from 1957. I like this on lizard but I have a 70s plated BOR I might try it on.

It does look quite nice in steel! Thanks for the pics.

If anyone has a use for this 18mm Speidel in good condition they are welcome to it as I doubt I will ever have a use for it.

Did everyone find their gold BOR bracelets? I’m about to toss one on ebay and thought I’d double check everyone found what they were after.

5 row 1037 with 570 end links. It’s a no. 12 gold plated 20 microns and stainless steel. I’ve had a few of these and this version has a brushed clasp instead of polished.

That’s what I would call a 7 row. See Alpha’s pic above for a 5 row. Mine too!

Aaaaaa you’re supposed to count the outside row as well!

Well opinions differ on how to name them but it is accepted there is a 5/7 row version that was commonly seen from the early 60s onwards (as seen in Alpha and my pic) and a 7/9 version commonly seen in the late 60s and 70s. The 2 number are for whether you include the outer link. Whichever scheme you use, yours is more than 5!
