My Grandfather was on the USS West Virgina and the USS New Mexico both battle ships before WW2. A few photos. My Dad grew up as a kid in Hawaii when his dad was station there during the 1930's the dependents would come over by civilian ships. There were only two hotels there in Honolulu at the time now that was the time to visit Hawaii not many tourist.

I think I might have hit my head on the same gun soon after my family moved to the Texas frontier sometime in the late 1970s.

I wasn’t expecting the Spanish Inquisition.

Born and raised Wisconsin, and after the heartbreak of failing the physical for NROTC, I still want to visit USS Wisconsin (BB-64) some day.
