They really made a "one off" into a "two off" with eh GSOTM and now they're just "One of...Many"

Good question. I've been curious about this as well, particularly as the Darth Murder Side of the Moon strangely appeals to me with my love of all things black.

Captured from an Omega video - rather like the bezel - not yet sure about the diamonds on the markers.
Either way - I'm happy such combinations will be possible.

I'd say kill it with fire, but sapphire and ceramic are resistant to heat. That is simply vulgar in its execution

kind of defeats the purpose of the chronograph hand, doesn't it?

totally agree, I think the Sedna is going to be a knockout piece.

My first instinct was YES!! YES!! to the Sedna Black... but the more real life images that emerge, the less certain I am...

I'll know for sure next month when we can try them on...but right now, certain lights reveal Sedna Black to be a dull muddy grey , and the full brushed case as opposed to a polished/brushed case is a bit of a minus for me...
As always...I am reserving final judgement...but remain cautiously optimistic..

One interesting bit is that with the strength in the US and CHF currencies, the pricing seems to come in under the prices of GS and DS...

Obviously Omega can't consider a price decrease (something that could hurt the momentum they've gained as a Veblen item), but I'm not sure how the reception will be if priced ~1k less... we tend to assign a value to something based on its cost... will these be seen as the watered down versions?

On the plus side... given that the cases are already made, and it is mostly a re-mashing of existing parts, we will see these at Boutiques as early as Summer '15 ...

Gotta say, as Speedys go, I like the basic professional, but of the updated Speedy line, I don't mind the Grey Side of the Moon, and the racing models. The new Dark Side Sedna Black and Dark Side Vintage Black also look good to my eye.

I've seen those images, and yes, a very dull grey, which is not particularly attractive has emerged in photo's. I suppose there is a fine line between matte black, grey, and just plain mud. Glossy is so much easier to pull off and get consistent. I too look forward to the Basel road show events at our local boutiques.

Good read, stating the obvious that the WSOTM was made for women.

The hints regarding a coaxial moonwatch are most interesting, they could definitely run that in parallel at the least

Omega missed an opportunity with the Black Black DSOTM. They should've called it the Total Eclipse.
