Looks like they're going to have a 3 hand as well. I guess we'll know more in 2 minutes. I hope it's not like W&W's Dan Henry where it is the same as models available on the site, just with a LE caseback.
They are nice for sure. The salmon color, different textures, and crosshair are all great. The only thing I don't love is the underline of "automatic". Tomorrow is my birthday, and I was considering picking this up for myself to mark the occasion (turning 40). I just don't love the design enough to pull the trigger, especially since I already have Baltic's bicompax in my collection.
I kinda like the chrono actually, but can't quite pull the trigger without subdial markings. I get that it's elegant, but numbers would have been good.
Oh, it's two salmon-sector-radial-crosshair dialed step-bezel watches with drilled lugs and some life style accessories thrown into the pictures for good measure. Do these guys work with some sort of spread sheet of watch lingo and then decided to go "heck, let's just put them all in a single watch"?
Correct me if I am wrong @ConElPueblo but I think this means the numbers are facing the centre, I.e if you draw a centerline through the each number axis the lines intersect at the center. So the numbers aren't oriented "normally"
It's fun to see that the bicompax seems to sell well, and that a few years ago it may have been laughed off the forums because of the movement. Times change, marketing works.
To be honest,if I could have gotten the chrono I would have. Not many small brands from my own town produce watches that I'd love to support!
I googled “radial dial” after @ConElPueblo’s post yesterday trying to figure this out. Thank you for the explanation.
So does great design, quality, pricing and customer care. Baltic excels at all four. Gonna pass on this one but I’m always interested in their projects.
+1. It isn't just the marketing. I own an Aquascaphe and it's a terrific watch for the money. Plus they provided good customer service for me after an error on their part. So as Larry S said, the customer svc makes a difference as well!
