bad case - is it a redial?

Recently found a decent polerouter. crown has no logo(seller says it’s original tho) and dials are patinated but still crisp.

However the back side of the case is.... somewhat rotten. is it removable stain? should I assume the dial is redial based on the bad case?

Dial looks original (higher resolution pics would help to determine) but movement looks a bit rough and crown and crystal are replacements.
Shame about the case corrosion as the lugs don't look too bad.
Best advice I can give with these is to wait and pay the extra for a good original one as sourcing correct parts to put right a so-so example can be a fruitless/frustrating task.

Dial is fine. Crystal and crown are service replacements. Unfortunately the case and movement corrosion is a deal breaker. From personal experience, putting these right, even on a watch in better shape than this is exasperating.

Does nobody else think that the A in Universal is a bit pointy?
Damn... I have this dial ... you may be right. Moot anyway since it’s a basket case...

hmm, the seller proposed usd 750 and now it’s very tempting to me... should I accept the offer or walk away?

Much of the advice given above to avoid at all costs was given without knowledge of the asking price - that should answer your question.
