Hi guys,

About a year ago I sold my Speedy from 1998, but now it feels that I need one to my collection. I prefer an older with character, but pre-moons are out of my budget.

Unfortunately I borrowed my Moonwatch Only to friend and takes some time I can get it back and check all the details.

Any thoughts on this one (except the price is quite high):




Love the applied logo, tritium and step dial, case seems to be quite worn out though.

Any thoughts if something is completely off?

Very strange speedy. Extract indicates a 70s model and so does the caseback but there is an earlier AML dial fitted with later service hands. Very overpriced too (as is anything from Meertz...) Would stay away from this...

 

In addition to the above comments, the caseback is actually from a 80’s Speedy. So recommend to stay away from this one if your into getting an all original example.

Thanks guys. It´s quite surprising that well-known dealer is selling something like that (without mentioning). We are living a time when all "old" turns out to be gold. For vintage newbie like me it´s getting more and more diffucult - just have to be more careful.

....aaand the chrono hand being too short on this one also. so with this one you will not only get one, but even three different watches (or parts of them).

 

DNN, AML logo dial, 70s caseback. It’s alive...! (Frankenstein) would avoid this one
