It has taken a while, but I finally have my Omega home. :D

A very sympathetic service. No polishing. As few parts replaced, as possible.

Due to the family history of the watch, I am more than happy to wear it as it is.

The crystal was the wrong (oversize), which had damaged the dial, and probably allowed moisture ingress.A homemade click spring was found  and replaced, as was the crystal and mainspring.

No pictures inside the case, I'm afraid, but details were taken for me.

    Cal 267
    Case 1859
    Run No. 13332
    Ser. 17310404

I'm delighted, and will treasure it.

    Steve.

EDIT to add: Should anyone have a period correct buckle, to suit my watch, that they wish to part with, I would be delighted to hear from you.

Great idea to keep the condition as close to original as possible. Buckles can be found on eBay pretty often too :D

A great watch to have. Goes up in my rating with the Ansells connection. Congrats on a nice watch and a sympathetic restoration.

I was in Birmingham a week ago, and drove past the site of the Ansells brewery. The only thing that I recognised was the old clock.Everything else that I remembered had gone. :(
    I still miss Ansells Bitter.;)

Your idea of "pretty often" must differ from mine. :D, at least for late 50's, early 60's buckles. There seems to be a few 70's quite often.

    I shall persevere. :)
