As I continue my search for a nice, 1958 handwind, I've come across this one:

    http://www.chrono24.com/en/omega/vi...2937-3-cal-267-serial-16174187--id4089738.htm

The whole search seems impossible to me as a non-expert. The dial certainly doesn't have that shiny new "I'm a redial" feel. The serial number is correct (although they don't show a picture of the movement), but if I Google that model number at look at pictures, there is a bewildering variety. Some have indices like this one, some have just a number at 12, some have all numbers, some have a recessed subdial, some don't. How does anyone know if something is real, unless you buy from someone you know and trust??

    1. Do a lot of homework on the net.
    2. Ask here.
    3. Buy from someone you know and trust.

Yep, definitely been doing #1 and #2; 3 is of course more difficult. Any views on authenticity of the piece I posted?

Five times? Really? I ask this honestly--most of the ones I've seen seem to be in the 500-1200 range. Is it because of the condition? I'm not surprised with X350 XJR's estimate of 2x, but 5x?

Oh, I know. I jumped when I saw that one, but just a little too late. It was exactly what I was looking for. The hunt continues, thanks for everyone's input.
