I posted a thread days ago on a watch I bought for $300 and it wasn't a great deal, however this is A LOT better!! I bought this watch a week ago for a measly $60. They priced it so low because it was dirty and the crystal was scratched. Dial is in amazing condition, case is very nice no gold wearing off, crown is original, crystal isn't original and is in poor condition (can't seem to find an original one anywhere for this watch... any thoughts?) polished it the best I could, lugs didn't get worn down with the previous twisto band. Movement is complete and in great condition currently running. Looks like it dates to 1962. I'm having trouble finding this specific model anywhere on the web except for a SS version. Any insight or info would be great!! I'm especially looking for advertisements with Geneve models from 1962, what would the retail price have been?

Thank you! I was thinking about that... when did the later Geneves start coming out?

The early Genèves ran from 1953 to about 1967 which is when the Genève model line was expanded.

Genèves faded from the Omega lineup in 1972 when Omega closed their factory in Geneva, therefore they were unable to use the Genève appellation.

The serial number dates your watch to about 1963.

OVD suggests the new font/case style was introduced in 1959 (ref. ST 132.0019). Interestingly, the OP's watch is the early font/case style.

Okay now I'm confused when I google 1959 Omega Geneve they're all old font. When I google 1962 Omega Geneve some are new and some are old....

There are few hard and fast rules in vintage Omega. It's possible that Omega used up old stock from the early Genèves well into the 60s while simultaneously launching new references.

Could anyone give me a realistic valuation on this watch? I know it's not a valuable model or anything but it's 100% original if that counts? My friend said it's worth about $150 or so. Also, I cannot find an original crystal anywhere for this watch... anyone point me in the right direction?

Search for "Early Genve" on eBay under completed listings to give you a rough idea of prices. They're sort of collectable due to the font, however I am not a judge of price trends. (P.S it is definitely worth more than $150.)

As for original crystals, try CousinsUK or Otto Frei. Cousins has a direct replacement listed as PN1068 while Otto Frei doesn't have anything that matches the reference. @Archer mind searching the Extranet...?

Wow! I have been having such a tough time determining a price on this because it's from 1962 and as mentioned before it's has to be like the very last of the early geneve models, interesting watch. Only prices I can find for early geneves are from the 50s and the ones from the 60s all have the new font. Being my second Omega I'm holding onto this for quite sometime. Will look into getting an Omega crystal for it.

Here the closest I can get too bad mines not 9ct... https://www.poshtime.com/498.295/Omega-9ct-Gold-Geneve-c.1962.php
