Hey, so awhile ago I posted a thread on the Omega the pawn shop had for $150. Well I waited and went back today, I offered $50 and they took it. Really a nice looking Omega!! Can't beat $50 as this is my 3rd men's Omega. As for the strap, I am thinking of black crocodile? The same that is on it now except a nicer/newer one. Serial number dates to 1970, caliber 601.

Nice find! Is this after cleaning up, or was it just like this when you found it?

    Redone dial?
Most of this reference seem to be circa 64-65?

I’m a lightweight on these watches but a quick google search isn’t that encouraging

https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-geneve-redial.65727/#post-826685 I think the dial is fine I wondered that same question. Also, no cleaning up done yet.

It could very well be a redial, more opinions would be great!

Try a nice lizard skin on the slimmer style watches with smaller lugs like this one.

Saves the leather getting worn between the lugs like your third picture ( right side )

I'll go against the grain and suggest black lizard instead of a bigger reptile. The finer texture will fit the size and detailing better, IMO.

    Nice find!

I do like lizard, however, my other Omega Geneve is on lizard already. Trying to go for something different! What about snake?
