To our annual Spring Italian automotive indulgence at Brooklands yesterday in my eldest's 916 GTV 3.2. Plenty of visual stimulation on site - a small selection below:

Not porn, I know, but really satisfying. 48 years of dirt removed from the interior (1971 MB 350 SL). Took all day.

Drivers seat before (apart from the small test bit)

After (but before applying UV shield - the non glossy kind)

What did you use to clean the upholstery, aside from elbow grease?

Meguiars vinyl and leather cleaner, a stiff brush, some sponges, microfiber cloths and a lot of time.

This is "MB-Tex" upholstery - Mercedes vinyl.

Thanks....I might give the Meguiars a try....the interior of my '67 250SL is a combination of "light parchment" leather and vinyl. In the past, I have cleaned it with a solution of Ivory liquid soap and water....then treat it with leather conditioner. Light upholstery in a drop top is an effort to keep clean. Thanks again for the tip.

Some more ogle-worthy Italians at Brooklands on Saturday.

The Grand Prix was the last model developed at Abarth prior to absorption by Fiat:
    upload_2019-5-6_11-42-34.png

The nifty Lamborghini Espada. Proving this is hot porno, my memory of driving one of these in '72 was how quickly and persistently all that glass area steamed up!
    upload_2019-5-6_11-45-13.png

Who'd have thought the X19 would eventually become something to gawk at with uneasy guilt?
    upload_2019-5-6_11-52-13.png

One-0-Five + Alleggerita Maggiorata = great looking track cars, whether original or 'recreated.'

Stopped off in fort Lauderdale recently and the centre of this town was full.of the most magnificent automobiles I have ever seen. Unfortunately I was on an organised trip to see the homes of the rich and famous from the water and had to be dragged away from this drool fest.

Last weekends interior cleaning marathon result (earlier post). If not pornography - it is at least sort of red hot.

Always a classic but that interior just puts it over the top! Especially now that it's clean! hah.
    Love it.

And finally my Subaru. She may not be high-end and is far from “exotic”, but still brings a smile to my face every time I place a little weight on the throttle pedal....
