Paul wrote at length about the history of the company and the 911 in particular, but I don't think much was written about the transaxle cars unfortunately

Thanks! Do you know if the ninth edition (I guess the newest one?) of his Porsche 911 Story with Dron Tony as a co-author is the same as original and just extanded or something completely different with too many pics and a little knowledge?

I’ve got an earlier edition of the 911 Story and believe me, it’s far more knowledge than photos 😉
I’d imagine any updated editions will have the same eye towards detail. But you could always look for an earlier edition too

my 911 of my year of birth

Now that opens a can of worms….I would have to start looking for a pre-production car

😟 One of the carshow introduction models would fit the bill. A little pricier than a birth year speedy…

Thank you! I've got an eight edition in a secondhand bookshop close to my apartment. That was easy 😀

Hah I love those inserts!

Cups just belong on a 964. One of my favorite combos. Maybe next to some BBS E88's!

rear-wheel drive, mid-engine.
Motor with you in the cockpit.
Absolutely useless but terribly fun!

I've got a ton of car porn sourced from around the 'net over the years. Almost all vintage.

Is that a DB5? As an undergrad and earlier, I WANTED to own one of these iconic Citroens. Great memories...thanks for posting this.

The looks might not be for everyone but what is sleeping under the hood and throughout the rest of the car is awesome. And yes, it's fun as h*** to drive.

1995 Chevrolet Camaro that went strait to Lingenfelter from the dealership to get the Camaro LT-1 383 CID package then came directly to Southern California. A "Lingenfelter Camaro" for short.

If you're unfamiliar with Lingenfelter, and curious, the current owner was on a Jay's garage episode a while back along with the owner of Superformance (they make the licensed Cobra replicas). Here's the vid:

These Camaros have started to get some love lately. The LT engines have always, to my ear, sounded better than their later cousins.

I was struck by this E-type Jag recently (in the visual sense) and thought it belonged here...
