Automatic watch winder and Cal 501

    Hi guys,

    This is a question about a Cal 501 movement.

    I was wondering if it would make sense to sense to program my winder to only work either clockwise, anti-clockwise or bi-directionally. This is just in case the rotor only winds the watch in one direction.

    what do you guys think?

    Since the 501 winds in both directions, I would set the winder to operate bi-directionally. Hope you don't get flooded with advice on whether or not to use a winder. Since you have one, I presume you don't subscribe to the "unnecessary wear" argument.
