Hi all,

I'm still quite a 'fresher' with collecting and appreciating OMEGA timepieces so please be kind! Keen about the Seamaster Pre-Bonds despite the unique bracelet design and have gleaned loads of information about them from Google and this site. Been looking for an example that I would be happy to own for a while.

There were plenty of quartz models and mid-sizes and I was tempted by a few until this one popped up on Sunday afternoon on eBay... a rare automatic chronometer without papers BUT a bonus being full size! The condition from the images looked okay. I checked and checked to ensure it wasn't a mid-size against all the knowledge on Google and then hit the BIN button! I paid 拢750 (approx $980). Overpaid? Maybe but the bezel would not need replacing as they are a pig to get?

I hope I did the right thing 馃檨

love this reference. well done at a right price. good that you bought the automatic. the lume on dial, hands and bezel arent really matching but thats a minor thing. most often these ones are beaten up way more.

Thanks for your thoughts... didn鈥檛 think about the hands but I presume they are replacements rather than relumed? Yes, I鈥檝e seen a few beaten up quartz ones and I couldn鈥檛 pass up on her on this reference hence I had to pull the trigger. The seller hadn鈥檛 worn it for 20 years apparently! She maybe in need for a service when she arrives.

Nice one. Don't send it to omega for a service or they will replace everything

Always liked these SM200s

I think you got a good deal. I usually see quartz ones being sold for that price

It arrived and just astonished by the condition! After taking out a few links, throughly cleaning it with soapy water and toothbrush...
