Matchlock
·I know that there's mixed feelings about auto watch winding machines, but I thought that this may interest some people here.
I bought a Tutelary 'two watch' winder a couple of years since. It's been fine up till recently then died a couple of weeks since. I took it apart and worked out that one of the motors has failed, they're linked into the same circuit board and for some reason if one fails it stops the other one. I looked at the firms website and found spare motor / gear boxes were on offer for £9.99 each, but that they're not available during lockdown. Being of an inquisitive nature I opened up the gearbox and found a micro motor inside, did a quick search on the well known auction site and found the exact, ''micro solar motor 300 DC''. I ordered two for less than a Fiver including postage, they were delivered within two days.
