    Hello!

I am looking to buy my first vintage omega watch and I came across one with a cool black/golden dial which I haven't seen before. I am by no means experienced though so I became worried that it was a fake because it looked different and obviously I doesn't have the original backcase. So I thought I could post here to see what the experts thinks.

I am attaching the photos from the auction.
The movement seem to have the number 13450248 on it if that is to any help.

Thanks a lot I advance I am really grateful for any help!

It's a nice vintage example even if hands look wrong and the dial might not please everyone but as long as you like it is the most important!
Why do you think the caseback is wrong? It looks original to me, just like the ones put on 265 cal as per the following examples:

Is there any reference written in the caseback?

Fairly typical aging for a black/gilt dial.

    Hands are incorrect.

Missing lume in the squares adjacent to the numerals and sub-dial as well as 10/11 o'clock.

The hands in particular would make it a pass for me.

    I quite like that.

Yes, the hands are wrong. Should be able to scrounge up appropriate replacements without breaking too much of a sweat. The dial's aged but aged well to my eyes. Case hasn't been polished even if some of the edges have softened.

The look is very in at the moment. I see it as a £6-800 watch.

As above, perfectly fine watch but with a few minuses. I sold this one recently - it's the same reference (2639) as yours:

Thank you so much for your help guys I am really grateful!
Now when I see your piece conelpueblo I see that a pair of different hands would make it better.
The seller haven't provided any pictures of the caseback so I will ask for it.
I think I will now dare to bid up to about £500-600 and hopefully I will be a new vintage omega owner.

Personally I think £500-600 is way to high for this watch. Too many issues for that amount of money.

This one sold yesterday for a bit over $400 US.

Also factor in the cost of a service (the regulator position indicates the need for one) and this will become a very expensive watch.
