Hi everyone, I’m looking at purchasing this vintage Omega Pie Pan Arrowhead Constellation from 1956

Reference 2582
Calibre 505

Just would like to ask for help to check if the dial is not a redial and if the case and Calibre are period correct. May I ask for suggestions also on where would I be able to read up on leading information for this type of watches.

I’m not an expert like some of the other members on here, so someone might have to correct me if I’m wrong, but I’ve never seen a crosshair that didn’t go straight through text/logos. See how the vertical line breaks where there’s text? Maybe they did this that I don’t know about, but I’ve seen a lot of 2852’s and I’ve never seen one with a break in the line. I’ve seen a lot with a cal. 505 so I’m sure that’s probably accurate. If I were to guess, I’d say a redial, or I just haven’t seen enough crosshairs yet. Hopefully another member can chime in too

Definite redial, all what was mentioned above plus the font and spacing and color of the dial printing are wrong.

Probably did not leave the factory with a black dial, either.

In almost every case these black 2852's are redials. You seldom see a original one. That's why they are so wanted.

More wrong, hands have lume but not the dial, second hand is too long, minute ticks are wandering around, lume on minute hand is super bright likely not even lume.

The cross hairs were the most obvious to me.

I am lucky enough to own 2 _2852 black dials.
