Authenticity check for 166.001

Hello,

Recently got offered this watch for $1000, and would like to know if this is an authentic variant of an 166.001. Has a “matte grey” dial which I have never seen before, for this model.

I haven't seen it before, but I have no reason to doubt it. However, $1000 seems completely out of line for a gold-plated/filled Geneve.

I like the look of the watch but 1000 USD it's overpriced.

Appreciate the feedback everyone, it means a lot. Some info I forgot to add is that it was recently serviced, but I agree that it is certainly overpriced!
