Today I was at Swatch Group service centre and asked them for a veryfication of the authenticity of a watch. They verbally confirmed authenticity, when I asked about the confirmation on paper, they said;
- service center can send a watch to Switzerland and paperwork will come from Switzerland, OR
- service center can open the watch, and give me all of the numbers needed for authenticity check via Omega website/Customer Service tab.
The second information was very new for me, but I agreed and they gave me case/movement serial number, case number, bracelet number and movement number.

I am on Omega website, logged into 'My Omega' and cannot find anywhere such service like request for the authenticity check.
Has anyone of you ever requested it via website?

I’ve used the “contact us” option under “customer service” to inquire about the service history and authenticity of several watches before buying them. It usually takes a few days, but I’ve always gotten helpful responses regarding the date of last service and whether or not the serial number is appropriate for a particular reference number. Hope that helps.

I’ve only ever made a request via the contact us link, not for authenticity but for clarification on things like dials or bracelets fitter to older watches.

As mentioned they are very helpful and reply within 2-3 days.

I see, thanks both, I will try contact us, though a guy at service centre was very specific and he meant there are boxes where all of the numbers should be typed in, hence he gave me all numbers.

You can order an extract via the serial number. Or send it in for service. Otherwise they do not do authentication.
