·Hello,
I recently purchased a first gen Aqua Terra (2503.34.00) and wanted to validate the authenticity. I have no reason to believe the watch is not authentic, other than the good price I paid for it and the watch not coming with the original box/papers/card with serial #. The serial numbers match on the case and movement.
Some more back story - the watch came in an Omega service box, it had an Omega service card with a service reference number, the spare parts that were replaced during service (I can provide a picture of the parts that were replaced, but this included some of the wheels, the rotor, gaskets, the dial, hands and a bridge or so), and the original bracelet (not pictured because it was too small, but I can provide).
I was told the watch was serviced in 2022, so I contacted Omega to inquire about the watch’s last service since I have the service card and service reference number. Omega has you provide the watch reference number and serial number when sending the question as well. Omega confirmed the watch was last serviced in 2022 and had a full service (Omega response attached). I think this explains the spare parts that were returned considering this is a 2500B movement. If I’m not mistaken, Omega has been upgrading the 2500A and 2500B movements to the 2500D movement because of the issues in the A and B.
Pictures of the watch head are attached. I can provide some additional pictures or better pictures if needed.
Am I just being paranoid here? I know I should authenticate before buying, but at the price this watch was selling for, it would have been gone by the time I had it authenticated. Plus I have a 30 day return window.
