Hi guys. First post here. Need some help authenticating this bezel on an 861. It says “TACHYMETER” instead of the usual “TACHYMÉTRE” and the dots appear to be square? Color as well seems to be different but it could just be the lighting of the photo.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Definitely not original to the watch. May be a knock off. Probably from some other maker.

Not for Omega, maybe made for another watch brand or cheap fake

 

Plus it's a non-Omega version of a '220' bezel.

Definitely took a trip to "nope"-town

 

It’s off another watch brand I’d guess same mfg as the omega one.

 

The font is off too. Definitely not authentic.
Did you buy the watch from ebay? Thought I saw a bezel like this on one of the listings.

 

Agree ... I've never seen such a font type on a Speedmaster
