Hello guys! Got this watch a while ago. Looks and functions great. Based on little research that i did the serial number should be on the movement. But the watch doesn't have it. This begs the question of authenticity. Any help will be appreciated
The Omega 1000 series watches are... special. They were at a time of fairly extreme cost cutting, and the serial-number-on-a-sticker is perhaps one of the most baffling decisions they made.
I haven't had a chance to take one apart yet (folks keep outbidding me on ebay!), but my understanding is they are still well designed and solid movements, just not made with the extra 'flourish' of later and earlier movements.
